Q: What do you do to the window that make it any differant to other window companies ?


A : We burn the case, most companies don,t do that, they opt to plane down the side of the sash to make it slide but if you ever get your windows burnt back in the future you will have problems with too much side play on the window.We also burn the cill back so once the window is painted you have crisp clean painted surface.




Q: I have three windows in my bay does this count as one widow when they are getting renovated?
A: No,it counts as three.


Q: I see from your quote that you have priced for brass ironmongery can I have a choice?
A: Yes you can have it in chrome or satin finish.

Q: What is a sash eye?

A: It is a ring that goes on the top of the sash so you can pull the window down with a pole.


Q:Why are you only taking away half of the cill where other companies are replacing the full cill?


A: Two reasons, if there is no rot why change something that is sound and I am not out to make extra money for something that does not need changed.I have heard all the arguments why it should be changed but the bottom line is we do not tell a customer that it is the proper way to do it. I have been working on windows for 30 years of my life and know a fairy storywhen I hear one. Besides your old window is in impereial measurement and today the cill section is metric, so I can't see how it fits to the old sash how it should. If they tell you they get specially run to fit your window .Don't think so
